A glimpse into the message of Kinfolk Divine...
In today’s society, it is more important than ever that human beings who identify as male lift up their voices and use their power to bring others who may be marginalized into the light. Through countless centuries, although humankind has given much of its central credence and attention to divine figures which are said to be “male,” we don’t equally as often give the same to those which are said to be “female.”
In this concert ode to justice and equality, the men of ECMC lift their voices to iterations of the divine feminine from Hindu, Buddhist, Celtic, and Judeo-Christian traditions across time.
Choral works for men’s chorus and reimagined voicings of treble and mixed-choir music will be sung from the incredible musical minds of Gustav Holst, Sergei Rachmaninov, Ethan Sperry, Joan Szymko, Jocelyn Hagen, Morten Lauridsen, Mari Valverde, James Taylor, and others.
Join us for this life-affirming concert with its third eye focused intently on equality and justice.
